Steaming "Down Under"
The Canterbury Railway Society at the Ferrymead Heritage Park near Christchurch on the New Zealand South Island operates a short steam shuttle operation about two km's long. On the day of our visit, Class W 2-6-2T 192 was in operation. Here the veteran, built in 1889, steams past the main depot at the Park. NZ trains are 3'6" gauge.
