Steptoe Valley Flyer
The Steptoe Valley Flyer was the name of the Nevada Northern's passenger train that connected the town of Ely NV and its copper mines with the rest of the world via connections to the Southern Pacific and Western Pacific mainlines roughly 100 miles to the north.
The original equipment has survived and still sees regular service as on this photo train,. This particular location is on trackage known as the Adverse Branch and would not normally have been traversed by the Flyer back in the day.
