Grand Trunk Western
The Grand Trunk Western employed its fleet of handsome light Northerns in both freight and passenger service across its territory of Michigan and Illinois. 6325 was saved by Ohio Central President Jerry Jacobsen and ran for several years in excursion service on that regional railroad.
Here she is seen in October 2003 performing a photo runby south of Sugar Creek OH.
Since then, the Ohio Central has been sold to the Genessee and Wyoming system and Mr. Jacobsen has devoted his efforts and a portion of the proceeds to building the magnificent Age of Steam roundhouse in nearby Morgan Run, OH. Inside is housed his extensive collection of steam locomotives, including the 6325, currently out of service with running gear issues.
