Handsome Grand Trunk Western 4-8-4 6325 spent its service life shuttling between Michigan and Chicago, pulling both priority freight and passenger trains. She found a second life on the Ohio Central Railroad when she was purchased and rebuilt by owner Jerry Jacobson. Here she is seen curving into the shop area at Morgan Run, Ohio with an immaculate photo freight of period freight cars.
The 6325 was later sidelined by running gear problems and the Ohio Central was sold to Genesee & Wyoming.. Mr. Jacobson took some of the proceeds and has built a completely authentic steam complex called the "Age of Steam Roundhouse", in nearby Sugarcreek, OH.
There 6325 rests, safe and secure in the company of (at latest count) 16 other steamers as well as vintage diesel locomotives, hopefully to return to service one day.
