Making the Snow Fly
For all who are currently sweltering in the dog days of summer, a bit of mental relief. K36 487 has little problem dealing with this drift across the line on the Cumbres & Toltec west of Sublette, CO. The flanger behind the tender also has its wings extended, moving the snow back from the line.
It's all for the benefit of the photographers, the snow will all be long-melted by the time regular summer operations begin. Fun!
